On March 7, 2009 “The Road Ahead” Guild Gala celebrated the 50th Anniversary of The Service Guild. The theme for this year’s gala reflected the future opportunities ahead for The Service Guild and The Bell Center. Chairing the 2009 Guild Gala was Michelle Monk. The co-chairs were Karria Myers and Jane Bochnak. This year’s event seated 800 guests in 23 homes and venues around Birmingham. Dinner guests were then treated to a live auction and dancing at The Birmingham Country Club. The Bell Center’s own Jeannie Colquitt was the winning bidder on the always anticipated Gala puppy. Jeannie and Lucy are bonding well!
